Jung Min-Ye
Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status of special rehabilitation use in stroke patients and present them as evidence for establishing an effective rehabilitation treatment delivery system.

Methods : This study targeted patients with the main injury codes I60, I61, I62, and I63 from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Hospitalization rates by medical institution, specialized rehabilitation treatment rates, treatment rates by specialized rehabilitation items, and rehabilitation treatment rates according to hospital transfer were analyzed.

Results : During the acute and subacute periods, specialized rehabilitation treatment, which had to be performed intensively in tertiary hospitals and general hospitals, was not performed. Specialized rehabilitation treatment was performed in hospitals and long-term care hospitals for a long period of time for the subacute and chronic periods. In addition, the most specialized rehabilitation treatments for stroke patients were MM114, MZ008, MM105, and MM151.

Conclusions : To provide special rehabilitation services sufficiently intensively during the initial rehabilitation period, the type of treatment, treatment period and domain of treatment should be defined and a new fee according to this system should be developed.
